=== SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ===

**Please note that submissions for Issue 5 (forthcoming in late fall '08) are now closed; we are still accepting submissions, but they will be considered for Issue 6.**

Beeswax Magazine publishes fiction, poetry, nonfiction and visual art, but we are open to cross-genre and/or unclassifiable work, too. Novel excerpts are fine as long as they can stand alone as complete pieces. Please read all policies and guidelines before sending us your work.

POLICIES
• We accept submissions year-round. We will occasionally post notices that submissions for a certain issue are closed, but this is not meant to dissuade submissions for future issues.

• Simultaneous submissions are fine, but please let us know in your cover letter and promptly notify us if a piece is accepted elsewhere.

• While sending several poems or shorter prose pieces in a single submission is encouraged, we do not accept multiple submissions at the same time; please wait for our response before sending a new submission.

• Please allow up to 12 weeks for us to respond to your submission. If more than 12 weeks have passed, feel free to send us an email requesting a submission status.

GUIDELINES
• Fiction and prose entries must be typed and double-spaced; please do not exceed 30 pages (approx. 9000 words). Poetry entries must be typed; please do not exceed 10 pages.

• Visual artists -- be advised that Beeswax rarely publishes in color; our preferred medium is black and white/grayscale. We love all kinds of art, from photography to comic books and beyond, so if you have something visual, send it our way. We also love work that combines text and art, and we are absolutely all-for artist collaboration; we would be happy to consider your collaborative work.

• Cover letters should be brief and give us an idea of who you are and what kind of work you do/have done. Please include your phone number, email and mailing address in your cover letter.

• Beeswax does not currently offer payment for publication. However, writers and artists published in Beeswax will receive two complimentary copies of the issue in which they appear.

There are two options for submitting to Beeswax:
